Knowledge before communities
Public Topics keep useful posts discoverable. A Circle can stop sharing a post locally without erasing the original.
An independent transparent alternative is coming
AltrEdit is for people tired of unfair control over social media, arbitrary bans, bot-filled conversations, and people that decide what deserves attention.
Say what you believe. Show why. Hear where others stand. Lawful viewpoints should not disappear simply because they are unpopular or inconvenient.
Join the early list and help prove that thoughtful, open conversation still has a place online.
AltrEdit will still act against threats, harassment, doxxing, illegal material, manipulation, and spam. But disagreement is not harm, an unpopular view is not a violation, and removal should not be the first tool used when context, correction, or an appeal can solve the problem.
Public Topics keep useful posts discoverable. A Circle can stop sharing a post locally without erasing the original.
Important enforcement decisions have a reason, a history, and a path to appeal—not a silent disappearance.
Human verification, participation budgets, and labeled automation make manipulation harder without demanding a public real identity.
Posts were removed, participation was restricted, and meaningful recourse was hard to find. Those experiences became the starting point for AltrEdit.
We are building AltrEdit to be useful long after the first scroll.
Choose or create a subject once. Posts remain canonical, searchable, and connected across related Topics.
Member-run groups can create local context and norms without owning or deleting the underlying knowledge.
Useful, firsthand, well-supported, and constructive say more than an anonymous popularity score.
Summaries, source help, duplicate detection, and conversation navigation—without pretending AI should decide what people may believe.
